How do I work?

I work mainly online with clients all over the UK and further field, I have worked with clients from Thailand, Spain, France, Germany, and many more so being based in the UK is not a prerequisite for working with me.

 

For clients who are local to Perthshire, Scotland or the surrounding areas, and want to work in-person: I offer a bespoke walk and talk therapy service based at mutually agreed upon outdoor spaces around. In the near future I will have the availability to rent a therapy room that clients will be able to visit in person for sessions - if this interests you please get in touch and we can arrange.

Modality:

I am a Pluralistic Counsellor and Psychotherapist, this means I draw on many differing parts of therapy modalities such as person-centred, transactional analysis, CBT, ACT etc etc.

 

At the very core of how I work with my clients though is a deep belief that 'you' (the client) are the expert in you, and it is my job to help you discover (if you haven't already) the things in your life that are negatively and positively affecting you today and identify the changes and tools you could develop and use to work towards your goals. I do this by creating a safe, nurturing, and empathic space/therapeutic relationship in which together, we can explore your journey through life.

 

In this space we will explore what has happened in your life that has brought you to where you are now, what you feel needs to change, and how to change it. I will always aim to teach you and help you practice different tools, grounding techniques, and coping mechanisms, where and when needed, that you can use to help support these changes in and outside of the therapy space.
